Michell Engineering Vinyl Record Clamp - Short Spindle

A high quality product available in two different sizes to suit your spindle height. This clamp works very well by cutting unwanted resonances generated on the record surface during play and by preventing any tendency to slippage, especially if a cleaning arm is being used. It will also help to reduce the effects of warping. It has the advantage over heavy weighted pucks that it will not damage the main bearing on decks not designed for them (potentially increasing rumble) and it will not compress the suspension on suspended decks, ensuring continued correct operation. When used properly this clamp works as well as a heavy puck but without any of the drawbacks (although heavy pucks are fine for decks which have been specifically designed to use them). It is also very good value for money compared to many.

This Short Spindle size is suitable for Rega, Thorens etc. and needs a minimum of 5mm protruding above the record to work well. Please see alternative listing for the standard length version.

Note: This clamp does not work on threaded spindles.
