With it's African Blackwood body the Zero is the ultimate monaural cartridge. It produces the clearest and most musical sound you will ever hear from a mono cartridge.
There is a choice of stylus size depending on the age of your records. Both stylus sizes will work with all microgroove LPs but for the best sound use the 1.0mil stylus for early mono pressings from the 1950s and also some early 60s pressings. Use the 0.7mil for later pressings or if only using one stylus for all records.
All Miyajima cartridges are hand crafted in-house by skilled workers in Fukuoka, Japan where they have been manufacturing top class mono cartridges for over 30 years.
Please note that this cartridge is better suited to medium or higher mass tonearms as it is slightly heavy for a low mass arm without additional weighting and it requires a moving coil input.
This is a true mono cartridge which only tracks horizontally and so must not be used with stereo records as damage will occur to the vertical groove.
